The 24-year-old archer had held on with straight-flying arrows until her bow cracked under pressure from her opponents in the women's compound individual match on Thursday.
At the Gyeyang archery field, Sri opened her day's competition triumphantly. She scored 10 eight times and 9 seven times for a total of 143 to eliminate Iraqi Fatimah Mahmood Al Mashhadani, who scored 138.
Sri plans to marry rock-climbing athlete Rachmat Gunawan on Oct. 9.
