he country's second-largest Muslim organization Muhammadiyah will begin preparations for its 47th congress in August next year in Makassar, South Sulawesi, by launching the congress logo and song.
Chairman of the launch's organizing committee Cahyono said the launch would be held on Tuesday at Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University's Sportorium hall.
'We are expecting to have some 10,000 supporters and activists participating, including about 80 rectors of Muhammadiyah universities from across Indonesia,' said Cahyono, who is also deputy secretary of the organization's Yogyakarta provincial branch.
The organization's deputy chairman Syukriyanto AR said the logo was designed by members in the host city of the congress, Makassar, while the song was composed by musician Dwiki Dharmawan with the lyrics written by Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsudin.
With regard to the agenda of the congress, Syukriyanto said that among the topics to be discussed was the development of art for the nation's character building.
