he Jakarta Police have announced that the dossier on Edi Syahputra, the administrator of Twitter account @TrioMacan2000, who has been accused of blackmail and money laundering, is complete.
'Hence, he is ready to face trial,' head of the cyber crime division Adj. Sr. Comr. Hilarius Duha said on Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.
Edi and his alleged accomplices Raden Nuh and Hari Koeshardjono are reported to have used the Twitter account, popularly known as 'Trio Macan,' and eight online news portals to blackmail two officials at state-owned telephone operator PT Telkom Indonesia.
Hilarius said both Raden and Hari had been arrested, but the police were still processing their dossiers.
The @TrioMacan2000 account has been suspended several times and is currently 'tweeting' under the handle @TM2000Back. The account is widely known among Twitter users for its controversial tweets on legal cases implicating government officials. (***)
