hina-based technology firm Lenovo has cooperated exclusively with e-commerce giant Lazada Group for the second time, following previous sales of its A6000, for the launch of its new product, the A7000.

The cooperation is the application of Lenovo'€™s online-to-offline (O2O) strategy and part of its attempt to adapt along with the massive growth of e-commerce, while following on from the success of the previous product which sold approximately 48,500 units in five flash sales.

A flash sale is when a product is exclusively available for purchase once a week on the Lazada website.

'€œWe are currently focusing on the middle-class market. We want to have technology which people can access,'€ Lenovo Indonesia mobile business group marketing manager Miranda Warokka said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The A7000 phone, which boasts Dolby Atmos sound technology, was slated to be launched at the same time in six countries that have Lazada branches, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The device was launched exclusively on the Lazada website on Tuesday, with a price tag of Rp 1,999,000 (US$144).

Indonesia'€™s e-commerce market is forecast to jump to $25 billion in 2016, up from $8 billion in 2013, according to e-commerce provider Vela Asia. (fsu) (++++)
