Jhony Budiono, a local neighborhood unit chief, said that the fire broke out in the morning.

'€œI was told by the house'€™s gardener about the fire at around 7:45 a.m. and it spread out quickly,'€ Jhony said on Wednesday as quoted by tempo.co, adding that he immediately reported the fire to the South Jakarta Fire Agency, which later deployed 15 fire trucks to extinguish the fire.

'€œThe fire had become quite large by the time our team arrived,'€ agency officer Nimun said, pointing out that the house was mostly made out of wooden materials.

The firefighters managed to extinguish the fire at around 9:52 a.m. Losses caused by the fire were estimated to reach Rp 3.5 billion.
