ive unidentified victims of a June plane crash were buried in a mass grave in Medan Polonia district, Medan, on Thursday.
North Sumatra Victim Identification Division team head Sr. Comr. Setyo Purwanto said the seven bodies, comprising 22 pieces, were among 131 passengers of a Hercules cargo plane that crashed into a residential area on Jl. Jamin Ginting, Medan. All passengers died in the crash.
Winda, the younger sister of one of the seven victims, said her family accepted the mass burial.
'I'm sure one of the bodies is my sister's, but the police said the DNA did not match up,' Winda said.
