lberto Bunaen, 43, was reportedly been beaten to death on Saturday by a group of people at Classic Hotel's night club in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, following an argument.
Central Jakarta Police head Sr. Comr. Hendro Pandowo said the victim arrived at the night club with his friend, identified only as LDT, at 2.30 a.m.
'When his friend wanted to leave the club, he was told that his friend was involved in a fight with some men,' Hendro said as quoted by kompas.com.
LDT rushed to the crime scene and found the victim lying on the floor, covered in blood and unconscious.
Alberto was then rushed to hospital by LDT, but died soon after.
According to Hendro, police have examined the club's CCTV footage and questioned a number of witnesses including security officers and other visitors to track down the perpetrators.
