angerang in Banten has attracted Rp 6.86 trillion (US$516 million) in investment in 2016, slightly above the target of Rp 6.60 trillion set by the city administration.
“The amount of investment was 100.68 percent of the target,” Tangerang Mayor Arief R. Wismansyah said on Thursday, as quoted by tempo.co.
He added that investment in the city would keep increasing, thanks to the quick service offered by the administration's one-stop integrated service.

Last year, the city issued 22,105 licenses, including 3,803 licenses in the construction sector, 6,516 in governance and social welfare and 11,786 for investment.
The administration has also launched online processing for 20 types of public services. The online service includes trade licenses, business registrations, certificates for home-based food production and pharmaceutical permits.
Arief expressed his hope that Tangerang could become more investor-friendly in the near future. (wnd/bbs)
