Chinese smartphone brand OPPO has just launched its latest product: the OPPO F5 Red, which has a full high definition (FHD) full screen and artificial intelligence beauty recognition technology that allows its users to get clearer selfie results. As its name suggests, the product is bright red.

The product was launched to the marketplace during an event in Manado, North Sulawesi, on Jan. 12.

“We have decided to launch this new product upon observing the high demands for our previous product, the OPPO F5 6GB Red, which we launched last year,” OPPO Indonesia public relations manager Aryo Meidianto said, adding that red was one of the most popular colors among OPPO customers.

In addition to the selfie-taking features, the new smartphone is also equipped with an eight-core processor and four GB of RAM, which allow the product to work rapidly. The product is also capable of multitasking while efficiently conserving its battery life, which has a capacity of 3200mAh, allowing for all-day use. It is also equipped with the Android 7.1-based ColorOS3.2 operating system.

The new smartphone is also equipped with a 16-megapixel back camera, with a big diaphragm of F/1.8, allowing it to produce high-quality images even in places with low exposure to light.

To promote the product and engage with its customers, the brand is conducting a “selfie tour” that will head to a number of spots in Indonesia, including Manado, the brand’s main market in Sulawesi and eastern Indonesia, according to Aryo.

He added that the tour included an event in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, and that it would conclude in Bali.
