Guess what?: Susi walks runway in Avantie design

JP/Steven

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti showcased her inner fashionista by strutting down the runway in a kebaya designed by Anne Avantie during Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW).

Anne said, as quoted by kompas.com, she felt proud to have the minister walk the catwalk in one of her designs.

“I asked the minister whether she wanted to come from the backstage or from the audience [....] She then replied that since she would appear on the catwalk like a model, she wanted to come from backstage,” Anne said.

Susi did not hesitate to showcase the tattoos on her legs.

“She wanted the design to be able to showcase her tattoos because she told me ‘it is okay to show off your tattoos’,” Anne said.
