ction movie star Iko Uwais has no problem showcasing his fighting skills in his films, but kissing scenes are a no-no.
So far, no producer or director asked him to do kissing scenes, which according to his manager Ricky Siahaan, make the actor feel uncomfortable.
Filmmakers that work with the actor, Ricky said, seem to understand and have no problem with the situation.
Iko’s preference not to do such scenes was not stipulated in his contract, but conveyed during negotiations, Ricky said. “If asked, Iko will refuse and they [filmmakers] will respect Iko’s wish,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.
Iko has starred in Hollywood movies Man of Tai Chi, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Beyond Skyline, as well as his latest movie Mile 22, in which he plays opposite Mark Wahlberg.
