The Health Ministry announced 2,897 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 406,945.

According to data released by the ministry on Friday, 81 more people have died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 13,782.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 334,295.

The ministry added 23,278 people were tested on Friday, bringing the total number of people tested to 2,853,984.

The capital city recorded 612 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 104,847. Meanwhile, West Java reported 320 new cases, West Sumatra 301, East Java 222, Central Kalimantan 205 and Central Java 195.  

The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (kmt)
