wiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen recently launched the “Time Well Shared” initiative, aiming to lift spirits during the challenging period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Time Well Shared” involves the IWC family members who have come together online to share their passion and knowledge with viewers at home, hoping to inspire and entertain through messages of positivity and solidarity.
The latest video to be released features rugby legend, former All Blacks player Sean Fitzpatrick, who is now chairman of the Laureus World Sports Academy, a global partner of IWC’s since 2005. Alongside Fitzpatrick and the academy, IWC has been working to carry a global mission to utilize the power of sports to improve the lives of young people.
In the video, Fitzpatrick discusses Laureus Sport for Good and its success over the last two decades, which include a life-changing trip that Fitzpatrick made to Sierra Leone’s Right to Play project 15 years ago, in which he taught the basics of rugby and the New Zealand haka to the children he met.
Laureus Sport for Good uses the power of sports to end violence, discrimination and disadvantages for children and young people around the world.
Those who want to help the cause can send a donation for the Sport for Good Response Fund through the Laureus website, and the funds will be used to empower organizations to deliver new or adaptive provisions to continue support children and young people during the pandemic.
