To cater to the needs of currently home-bound coffee lovers, Kisaku has launched its home series, comprising liter bottles of its almond and oat milk lattes.
About 70 percent of people of Asian descent suffer from lactose intolerance.
To give people an alternative, Kisaku has launched its almond mylk latte, combining its signature coffee with almond milk.
“We are aware of an increasing demand among people for alternatives to animal-based milk. Therefore, since the opening of our first outlet, we’ve already launched an oat-based latte [called the oat mylk latte] which we’ve now complemented with the almond milk. The plant-based oat and almond latte are suitable for those who have lactose intolerance, also those who adopt a more environmentally-friendly vegan lifestyle,” said Kisaku cofounder and managing partner Catherine Halim.
Research by Oxford University reveals that a glass of cow milk produces three times the greenhouse gas emissions in its manufacturing process compared to these alternative, plant-based milks.
“We are also committed to using alternative, plant-based milk from the best brands, one of them being Oatly, a high-quality oat-based milk recognized by The New York Times as the best alternative to cow’s milk,” Catherine added.
