“During this year's GATF, we are also trying to reach out and offer opportunities to a wider audience in Indonesia for their trip by holding the GATF in 24 large cities throughout Indonesia,” said Garuda commercial director Agus Toni Soetirto in a press release, adding that the travel fair was aiming for Rp 207.3 billion (US$15.5 million) in transactions and up to 77,000 visitors for the first phase.

The airline is reportedly organizing the travel fair with state-owned lender Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), which will use the opportunity to introduce its mobile app Ventugo.

Besides getting cashback, travel enthusiasts can also expect to participate in interesting programs such as “Happy Hour” that offers an 80 percent discount on airline tickets during certain hours, such as 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. and 04.00 p.m. to 06.00 p.m., as well as “Best Deals” that provides discounts of between 15 and 45 percent for all classes on both domestic and international flights.
