Aiming for 80,000 visitors, the upcoming event will be held simultaneously in 18 regions across the country. “It gives an opportunity for customers to get interesting offers in planning their trips,” said Garuda Indonesia commercial director A. The selected regions include Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Lampung, Palembang, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Kupang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Manado, Ambon, Timika and Jayapura.

Using "Digital Experience" as this year's theme, GATF is meant to educate customers in arranging their trip by using the Garuda Indonesia mobile app and website. Visitors would also be encouraged to travel to new domestic destinations for leisure purposes, such as Banyuwangi, Lombok, Seram, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat and Lake Toba. “We have expanded [our network] to small cities in Indonesia. “Last week we launched inter-Papua routes, such as Biak, Nabire and Maumere, using smaller aircraft, thus easing transport activities for the people," said Toni.

“For domestic flights, prices start from Rp 700,000 [US$53], while international flights start from Rp 800,000,” said the airline's vice president marketing Selfie Dewiyanti regarding what would be offered at the event, adding that the company would also provided Happy Hour programs that offer special discounts.
