ndie rock band Efek Rumah Kaca has collaborated with television journalist Najwa Shihab to create a theme song for the latter's show, Mata Najwa (Najwa's Eyes).

The band announced through Twitter that the song would be performed on the show for the first time on Wednesday. 

"In our upcoming performance on @MataNajwa, for the first time we will perform a special song that we created together with @NajwaShihab that will be the theme song of @MataNajwa," Efek Rumah Kaca said via Twitter on Tuesday.

The post also included a picture that displayed the hashtag #KamiBersamaNovel (We are with Novel), which refers to senior Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan, who suffered severe burns to his face when he was attacked with acid by two unidentified men on April 11 last year.

Novel recently returned to Jakarta after receiving medical treatment in Singapore.

Efek Rumah Kaca has also called on the public to cover its song "Sebelah Mata" (One Side Eye), dedicated to Novel. 

The band, which released its last album, Sinestesia, in 2015, is  preparing its fourth album. (liz/kes)
