Starring Golden Globe nominee Pierce Brosnan, GoldenEye of the James Bond series is considered a classic.

Remembered as one of the best James Bond films to star Pierce Brosnan, every James Bond fan and fan of classic cars will be delighted to learn that they now have a chance to buy and drive the very same Aston Martin DB5 that was driven in the movie’s opening scene.

According to The Drive, the car will be auctioned at the Bonhams on July 13, in the middle of the 2018 Festival of Speed, which will be held from July 12-15.

The car was expected to go for between £1.2 to £1.6 million (US$ 1.6 – 2.1 million), said Motor Trend

The DB5 became the most expensive piece of James Bond memorabilia ever sold when it was first purchased by the event caretaker in 2001 for $200,000. The record was then beaten by the original star car from Goldfinger and Thunderball, two James Bond films starring Sean Connery, which went for £2.6 million in the RM auctions in 2010. (ely/mut)
