Two aspiring Indonesian models are among the participants in the sixth season of Asia's Next Top Model.
he producers behind Asia’s Next Top Model have unveiled the names of the 14 participants in the latest season of the reality TV series. The aspiring top models come from countries across Asia, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan and Malaysia.
The announcement follows several teasers uploaded to the series’ social media channels, with the show’s host, supermodel Cindy Bishop, sharing some of the contestants' characteristics.
The Indonesians in the line-up are 22-year old Iko Bustomi and 26-year old Jesslyn Lim. As described on the series’ website, Iko aims to become a model to support her family, while Jesslyn is described as a bold person who likes to express her opinion.

Alongside the other participants, Iko and Jesslyn will be challenged in terms of their poise, intelligence and aptitude for runway and print modeling.
Asia’s Next Stop Model will present fashion photographer Yu Tsai as creative director to mentor the contestants throughout the competition. Alumni of the series are also scheduled to appear on the show, namely the third season’s participant Monika Sta. Maria and the fifth season’s Shikin Gomez and Nguyen Minh Tu.
Karen Seah, the series’ executive producer and showrunner from Refinery Media, said in a statement that the sixth season would be “pushing the boundaries of creativity and story-telling against the raw and edgy backdrop of Bangkok. Most of all, we’re injecting a brand new element into the show, which will give the fans a more intimate glimpse into the girls’ journey and create a new dimension for future cycles to come," she added.
Season 6 of Asia’s Next Stop Model is set to premiere on Aug. 22 on Fox Life and Fox+. (wir/kes)
