Kado was previously named Best Short Film at the 2018 Venice International Film Festival in Italy for the Orizzonti section. Aditya is said to be the only Indonesian filmmaker participating at the event.

Co-produced by Riri Riza, the 15-minute short film tells the story of Isfi (played by Isfi Febiana) and her enthusiasm in celebrating the birthday of Nita (Anita Aqshary). In order to prepare a special gift in Nita's room, Isfi is required to don a long skirt and a hijab. (kes)
