IREBON, West Java: The Cirebon regency administration is looking to plant 2 million trees this year as part of its regreening efforts to slow global warming.
"Environmental preservation is one of the best ways to curb the pace of global warming," local agriculture agency head Ali Effendi said Monday.
"The campaign can help create an environmental balance and reduce net carbon emissions."
He added the target of planting 2 million trees was in line with the central government's One Man One Tree program.
