fter searching for three days, a rescue team discovered two of the three tourists reported to have been dragged away by waves on Sunday at Parangtritis Beach in Bantul, Yogyakarta.

The three tourists were among hundreds of visitors at the beach on Sunday when huge waves swept the area. Six were caught in the rip tide, but only three were saved.

The two bodies were found on Tuesday following information from fishermen who reported objects floating at a location 10 kilometers from the incident site.

“We combed the area and we found the bodies floating between the rocks,” Search and Rescue (SAR) team member M. Taufik said, adding that the victims had been handed over to relatives. — JP
