IDOARJO: The Sidoarjo Transportation Agency in East Java has ordered truck owners to remove all erotic paintings and provocative slogans from their vehicles because they are considered traffic safety hazards.
Agency head Mohammad Husni Thamrin said removing the erotic pictures and written sexual inferences was not only related to ethics, but also because the concentration of an increasing number of drivers of other vehicles was disturbed by pictures and innuendos painted on the backsides of trucks.
“If the truck owners do not remove the pictures, licenses for the road worthiness of their vehicles will not be issued,” he said Friday. — JP
