AKARTA: Jakarta Police narcotics directorate on Wednesday destroyed eight kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 350 ecstasy pills that had been seized during drug raids in June.
“The destruction of this evidence should be witnessed by representatives from courts and prosecutors offices. We received instructions to destroy this evidence three days ago,” Jakarta Police natural resources division head Sr. Comr Eko Saputro said.
The drugs were seized in drug busts between June 8 and 13 at four locations around Jakarta. During the busts police also arrested five suspects with the initials AR, RH, YN, KL and SG.
“Afterwards the drug can no longer be used, and will be disposed of into the sewer, as witnessed by everyone here,” Eko added as reported by kompas.com.
