BANDUNG: A failed ghost prank is likely to land an unsuspecting victim in the defendant’s chair for charges of assault
ANDUNG: A failed ghost prank is likely to land an unsuspecting victim in the defendant’s chair for charges of assault.
Sunarya, a security guard at an apartment in Bandung, allegedly assaulted a woman dressed up in a ghost costume because he thought he was under attack by the supernatural.
Bandung police spokesperson Adj. Comr. Endang Sri Wahyu Utami said that the case had been handed over to prosecutors early this week, though the case was only released to the media on Friday.
“Let’s wait for the prosecutors to follow up the case,” Endang said.
Sunarya faces charges of terrorizing Mega Tri Pratiwi, who at the time of the incident on Dec. 10 was dressed up as suster ngesot, the crawling nurse ghost, as a prank to spook her friends.
Mega intended to scare her friends, one of whom was celebrating their birthday. Wearing her costume, Mega reportedly waited for her friends outside of an elevator. However, Sunarya, who was also riding in the lift at the same time, took Mega for the real thing when the doors opened.
When he saw the “ghost”, Sunarya lashed out at Mega, who is the daughter of a wealthy businessman from Kalimantan, breaking one of her teeth and bruising her cheek.
