AMBI: Jambi’s Kota Baru Police seized two ounces of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, worth Rp 180 million (US$19,000), after arresting two men for the possession of drugs.
Police arrested Sigit Prastotihadi, 31, a resident of Kota Baru district, and Dhio Gjeza Pamungkas, 21, a resident of Jelutung, on Saturday.
The police first found some meth at Sigit’s house before he led the police to Dhio’s house, where they confiscated two ounces of meth.
“During questioning, Sigit admitted that he kept the crystal meth at Dhio’s house. We later discovered the meth inside a computer’s CPU (central processing unit). Besides the meth, we also seized other evidence, such as cell phones and Rp 850,000 in cash,” Kotabaru Police head, AKP Gadug Kurniawan, said.
Gadug said that Sigit and Dhio maintained the drugs belonged to two dealers, who have the initials I and B.
