hailand-based cement producer Siam Cement Group (SCG) is continuing to expand in Indonesia with plans to build a new factory through its subsidiary, PT Semen Jawa (SJW). SCG plans to build the factory in Sukabumi, West Java.
'The total investment for this factory is Rp 3.4 trillion [US$304.7 million],' SCG CEO Kan Trakulhoon said, as quoted by Kontan.co.id, in Jakarta on Monday.
Trakulhoon said that the new factory would be able to produce 1.8 million tons of cement per year.
The development of the factory would start in 2015, according to Trakulhoon. SCG first entered the Indonesian market in 2002.
