Handheld device maker Sony Mobile Communications introduced on Wednesday the SmartWear Experience which can be integrated to a number of select Sony smartphone and tablet models.

SmartWear Experience includes SmartBand SWR10 waterproof wristband and Lifelog application which records the wearer's physical and social activities.

'€œWe focus on SmartWear Experience that brings Sony to a new level of product,'€ Sony Mobile Communications Southeast Asia and Oceania vice president and head Matthew Lang said when introducing the product in Jakarta.

He added that SmartBand SWR10, first introduced at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, and Lifelog allowed users to record, collect, capture, review, and notify everything that comes into life.

Lang said that the product would be delivered in March and available in Indonesia in April.

He lauded 2013 as a breakthrough year for Sony Mobile in Indonesia, claiming '€œstrong number two in smartphone'€ category and that the company would expand its presence in a '€œbigger, better, bolder'€ way.

'€œBigger entertainment, better experience, bolder communication service,'€ Lang said.

While not revealing the 2013 market share data, Sony Mobile Communications Indonesia deputy market head Oky Gunawan said that it was an incredible year and that the firm aimed to double its market share this year by realizing new technology.

Sony also introduced new products such as Xperia Z2, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia E1, Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia T2 Ultra Dual and Xperia M2 smartphones and Xperia Z2 Tablet.

Xperia Z2, the company flagship smartphone, works hand-in-hand with the SmartBand SWR10.
