The revelation that Malaysia Airlines flight MH370's Aircraft Communications and Reporting System (ACARS) was switched off before its last radio message was sent has brought the focus of investigations back on the pilots.

Acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein told the media yesterday that the ACARS was turned off before the message. Previously, it was reported that the system was turned off after the last voice contact.

Your comments:

It is ethically and morally wrong for Prime Minister Najib Razak and the Malaysian government to pin the suspicion on pilot Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah and his co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid without solid evidence. They must now apologize to the duo's families unreservedly.

This entire episode exposes the shortcomings of the entire Malaysian administration of not practicing a meritocracy and hiring senior government officials based on race and political leanings resulting in a totally inept and incompetent
leadership.

Indonesia must learn from this weakness and must never appoint based on race, religion but on merit and personal qualifications.
