Drunk passenger tried to break into cockpit on Virgin flight: Police

enpasar City Police chief Adj. Comr. Djoko Hariutomo said that a drunk passenger tried to enter the cockpit of an Australia Virgin Air Boeing B737-300 plane in Bali on Friday.

He said the man was arrested by officials with the Indonesian Military (TNI), National Police and other security officers after the plane landed on the runway.

"We deployed a lot of personnel because we are informed that an aircraft was hijacked," Djoko said as quoted by kompas.com.

Separately, National Police criminal investigations chief Suhardi Alius said in Jakarta that there was no disruption to any flight services from and to Ngurah Rai International Airport due to this case. (nfo)
