ith its huge population and robust economic growth,China is predicted to become Bali's largest tourist market, surpassingAustralia.
Gilda Sagrado, executive board member of the Bali Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD), said in an interview on Thursday that the number of tourist arrivals from China had been increasing significantly.
Australia has always been Bali's top market over the last few years, luring 207,478 persons contributing 24.84 percent to total foreign tourist arrivals.
'In the past, Chinese tourists came to Bali in groups, but today many tourists come personally for business and pleasure,' Gilda said.
She further predicted the growth of Chinese tourists would continue to flourish with the opening of direct flight services from Hainan Air plying Beijing-Bali three times a week
