AKARTA: Legendary rock group Slank will dedicate its next concert to Indonesian women, tempo.co reported on Thursday.
'Women have a key role in building this nation. We would like to thank the women of Indonesia for their hard work,' vocalist Kaka told a press conference on Wednesday.
The concert, titled Revolusi Bunga: Generasi Wangi (Flower Revolution: Fragrant Generation), will be held on Nov. 5 at Potato Garage in SCBD, South Jakarta.
Drummer Bimbim said that during the group's 30 years in the industry, they had drawn a huge amount of inspiration and support from women. 'During the concert, we will introduce the women involved in Slank,' he said.
Tickets are on sale for Rp 750,000 (US$63) for standing places and Rp 1.5 million for VIP class. Ten percent of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the conservation of coral reef in Bali. More information is available at revolusiSLANK.com.
