T Transjakarta bus operators intend to temporarily close 11bus shelters on Sept. 28 because of recreational cycling activities being heldin connection with the Indonesian Military's 69th anniversary celebrations.
Transjakarta spokesperson Sri Ulina Pinem said that the 11 closed shelters were located within corridor 1 that connected the Blok M shelter in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta with the Harmoni Central Busway shelter in Central Jakarta.
The closed shelters comprised Blok M, Senayan Circle, Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta Police headquarters, Bendungan Hilir, Karet, Setiabudi, Dukuh Atas 1, Tosari, Sarinah and Bank Indonesia.
'They will be closed down from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.,' she said recently, as quoted by tempo.co.
She then advised people to look for alternate means of transportation and routes to avoid traffic. (alz/dic)
