outh Korea's golfers are predicting they will win Asian Games gold but they will need an alchemist's touch as they trail Taiwan in the men's individual and team play after Saturday's third round.
Pang Cheng-tsung fired a seven-under-par 65 to take a one-shot lead in the individual competition at Incheon's Dream Park Country Club, with South Korean Youm Eun-ho (68) hot on his heels.
Fellow Korean Kim Nam-hun sits a further five strokes adrift after firing a 66 in windy conditions, leaving the home quartet of players four behind Taiwan in the aggregate team scores.
Taiwan finished the day on a combined 35-under-par 613 but South Korea's Kim Young-woong boldly declared: 'There will be a gold medal around my neck tomorrow.'
Chinese prodigy Guan Tianling, who became the youngest player to make the cut at a major championship at last year's Masters aged just 14, carded a 71 which left him tied for 14th going into the final round.
China are joint fourth in the team competition, a combined 15 shots behind the leaders.
