Mandra grilled over alleged graft in TVRI

T

he Attorney General'€™s Office (AGO) has grilled well-known Betawi comedian Mandra, 46, in connection to a graft case involving state-owned TVRI.

'€œWe questioned him [Mandra] due to alleged graft committed in 2012,'€ Sarjono Turin, one of the officials, said recently as quoted by kompas.com.

He said the AGO was seeking more evidence.

He said that on Tuesday, Mandra was questioned as a witness from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When approached by reporters, Mandra refused to comment on the case and would not discuss why he had been questioned.

Mandra has played in 12 soap operas and nine movies. However, he rose to stardom when he played Mandra, Doel'€™s uncle, in Si Doel Anak Sekolahan (Doel the School Kid), which was aired from 1993 to 2003 on RCTI. (alz/nfo)(++++)
