aw and Human Rights Minister Yasona Laolly acknowledged there would be a bumpy road ahead for the administration in carrying out its duties following the re-election of Aburizal Bakrie as chairman of the Golkar Party at the party's recent national congress.
'It won't be easy for us. But I firmly believe that the people will support us if they see that our work is solely dedicated for their good,' Yasona said as quoted by kompas.com.
He said the administration would boost and improve relationships with all stakeholders, especially with political parties that had vowed to monitor the government's performance.
Aburizal was reappointed in a landslide with 534 votes from all stakeholders within Golkar at the congress held in Nusa Dua, Bali. Aburizal's reelection is widely believed to have strengthened the position of the Red-and-White Coalition under Gerindra Party patron Prabowo Subianto, who was the losing presidential candidate.
