The rupiah fell to the weakest level in almost 11 months as reports showed exports contracted more than forecast and inflation accelerated.

Overseas sales dropped 2.21 percent in October from a year earlier, data showed on Monday, compared with the 1.45 percent decline projected in a Bloomberg survey.

Your comments:

We will see strong global demand for electronics products. South Korea, Taiwan and China have large current-account surpluses because of high electronic exports.

Tuttukap

Based upon Indonesia'€™s performance, poor production and tumbling resource prices, you will find the rupiah hovering around 12,000 to 13,000 for the next two years or so.

Remember of course the government has pretty much run out of money from the fiscal budget, which will exert more pressure on the currency.
