Actress Chelsea Islan says she had no doubts when she was offered a role in Lukman Sardi'€™s movie, Di Balik '€˜98 (Behind '€™98).

'€œI like history, and by acting in a movie about history we can also take part in educating people,'€ Chelsea said as quoted by kompas.com.

Di Balik '€˜98 is a drama that is based on the 1998 tragedy. Chelsea will play a student activist who takes part in protests to topple then president Soeharto.

As Chelsea was only three years old when the tragedy happened, it was a challenge for her to perform her role.

The star of Merry Riana said she had watched a lot of videos of the tragedy, met with the real activists who took part in the protests and talked with many people who witnessed the tumultuous events.

'€œI did all this because I know that Lukman Sardi'€™s film is a serious one,'€ she said.
