Apart from spending her time with family on Christmas, author Alberthiene Endah also likes to spend Christmas with her nine dogs.

'€œI celebrate Christmas with my beloved '€˜daughters'€™. This year, I gave them hats and head bands as Christmas gifts,'€ she was quoted by tempo.co. '€œI'€™m so happy to be able to celebrate Christmas with the dogs.'€

The author, who pens biographies of many famous names like designer Anne Avantie, singer Krisdayanti and former first lady Ani Yudhoyono, said she did not have any special celebration during Christmas. She did not even put up
a Christmas tree, using her time to write instead.

'€œFor me, the meaning of Christmas is more for self-contemplation '€” to make myself a better person,'€ she said.
