The Aceh Besar Police have demolished 800,000 cannabis bushes planted on an 8 hectare farm in Lampanah Lengah, Seulimeum district.

Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Heru Novianto said the farm, located in a mountainous area four hours by foot from the nearest road, was found last week.

'€œWe have not yet found the owner. But based on the various sizes of the plants, we suspect that the owner was continuously planting the trees,'€ Heru said as quoted by Antara on Sunday.

He also mentioned that dozens of police officers started to demolish the ganja trees on Thursday and would continue until Tuesday. (***)
