he East Jakarta Elementary School Office has transferred 337 school principals to new schools or positions for various reasons, including poor performance. They reshuffled 274 principals of elementary schools and 63 principals of junior high schools.
Office head Nasrudin said on Saturday that 10 elementary school principals were transferred for underachieving.
'They used to be principals of overachieving schools but now they have been transferred to regular schools,' he said, as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
Nasrudin said he also rotated 63 junior high school principals, 53 of which were from East Jakarta, while the rest were from other municipalities.
He said the rotation was necessary to improve the managements of the schools as well as to provide motivation to principals so they worked harder. (***)
