alla Group, through its subsidiary PT Bumi Sarana Migas (BSM), plans to team up with state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina to develop a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) receiving terminal in Banjarnegara, Banten.
'We had previously aimed to develop an LNG receiving terminal on the west side of Java,' Pertamina director Yenni Andayani said, as quoted by kompas.com on Thursday.
She said that BSM had offered the project to the company in early 2014.
The new project will have a total capacity of 500 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd), equal to 4 million tons of LNG.
She said, however, that neither firm had signed a contract or agreement for the project.
Kalla Group corporate communications officer Andi Asmir was not able to elaborate on the plans of either company to the press, other than saying the group planned to announce this new business on Jan. 15.
However, according to information from Energy Watch executive director Ferdinand Hutahaean, the companies had agreed that Pertamina would buy 51 shares in BSM for this project. (nfo)(++++)
