eputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat has urged convenience store chain 7-Eleven president director Henri Honoris to complete the permits for all his outlets in Jakarta during a meeting in City Hall in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.
Previously, the Tourism and Culture Agency revealed that the chain only had 91 permits despite having 200 outlets in Jakarta.
Henri acknowledged that the firm had been negligent and vowed to complete the documentation and permits. Henri said that the company was also ready to close or relocate any outlets that violated permits.
'We are ready to fulfill Pak Djarot's request. We will complete all the documents and close or relocate outlets that violate permits,' Henri said.
Djarot also asked the convenience store to sell products from micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and demanded that they also provide space and carts outside their stores for street vendors. (***)
