Megawati Soekarnoputri, president of Indonesia from 2000 until 2004 and chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) since 1998, says she has decided to accept calls from her party members to lead the party until 2020.
Your comments:
At her stage of life, how is her health in general? It is my belief that all senior government and party officials should be subject to a compulsory health check. If you do not pass the requirements then you should not be eligible to take a top position.
Another five years under her leadership is not a good plan for Indonesia, I am sure an advisory role would be more beneficial. It would also be better as she could be more objective.
