AKARTA: Division I witnessed yet another upset with the Challengers winning a close game against the Senayan Lions, while TKCC and the Mavecrics registered routine wins against the Senayan Tigers and the Jaguars, respectively, in Division II of the Apple Coal Jakarta Cricket Association (JCA) League 2014-2015.

Favorites Senayan Lions lost by nine runs to the last-placed Challengers, once again making Division I a roller-coaster ride. Sent into bat first, the Challengers posted a par score of 173/8 in 35 overs with Sekar making a fighting 65. Ashit and Prem took three and two wickets, respectively. The Challengers'€™ bowlers kept nibbling at the wickets at regular intervals to make the run chase difficult for the opposition. Senayan was 57/3 in 12 overs, 127/6 in 24 overs before eventually getting all out for 164 runs in 32 overs. Prem top scored with 42 runs. Manik and Srinivas took three wickets each.

The Mavecrics beat the Jaguars by 10 runs in a close game at Cibubur. A century partnership between Miraz Monga (50) and Captain Sandeep Sandy (44) helped the Mavs post 223/8 in 35 overs. Amit and Anwar claimed two wickets apiece. Chasing a revised target of 203 runs in 32 overs, the Jaguars ended up at 192/9. Nasir scored 31 runs. Pradeep and Rakesh took two wickets each.

At the Gandhi ground, TKCC mauled the Senayan Tigers by seven wickets with 15 overs to spare. The tigers made a paltry 126 runs and then saw TKCC chase the score in 20 overs losing only three wickets. Ramdoni scored 36 runs. For TKCC, Jimmy and Hitesh Malhotra remained unbeaten on 39 and 33 runs, respectively.

The Jakarta Barbarians, WPP-India XI and WISCI lead Division I, while the Fez Rebels, TKCC and Metro Indians lead Division II.
