In the primary charge, Musakkir is accused of drug possession, violating Law No.35/2009 on narcotics. For this offense, the defendant faces a four to 12-year prison term with a fine of Rp 800 million to Rp 8 billion.

Mas'ud said the results of lab tests conducted on Nov.18, 2014 showed that two plastic sachets confiscated from the defendant contained 0.119 grams of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as shabu-shabu. The lab tests also confirmed that a pipette, confiscated together with a spoon by investigators during his arrest on Nov.14, 2014, contained 0.024 grams of crystal meth.
'The lab test results of the defendant's urine and blood samples also showed that he tested positive for using crystal meth,' said Mas'ud.
The Makassar Police arrested Musakkir on Nov.14, 2014 in a room of the Grand Malibu Hotel in Makassar, while he was using crystal meth together with his colleague, Ismail Alrip, also an Unhas lecturer, and a female student from a private university in Makassar. (ebf)(++++)
