he Bandung Customs and Excise Office has foiled an attempt by three Indonesian citizens to smuggle in 763.8 grams of crystal meth into Indonesia via the Husein Sastranegara International Airport.
West Java Customs and Excise Directorate General acting head Saipullah Nasution said his directorate had arrested three people for possession of crystal meth in mid-January this year. 'The suspects were handed to the West Java National Narcotics Agency [BNN] on Tuesday.'
The suspects arrived at 9:25 p.m. local time on an AirAsia plane from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
According to Saipullah, officers became suspicious of the movements of two female passengers, later identified with the initials RH and AL. After inspecting them, officers emptied their three suitcases. Officers were again suspicious of the third suspect, with the initial S, who carried too many suitcases for two people. (***)
