ritain's Hannah Miley led an international charge at USA Swimming's Pro Swim Series meeting on Thursday with victories in the 200m freestyle and 400m individual medley.
Miley opened with her win in the 200m free in 2min 00.31sec. The Commonwealth Games champion then dominated the 400m medley final, her winning time of 4:36.74 making her the third-fastest in the world this year behind Britain's Aimee Willmott (4:35.74) and Elizabeth Beisel (4:36.71).
American Caitlin Leverenz was second in the 400m IM in 4:40.65.
Jamaica's Alia Atkinson won the women's 100m breaststroke in 1:06.79, moving to the top of the world rankings with the first sub-1:07 time of a young season that will be highlighted by the World Championships in Kazan, Russia, July 24-Aug. 9.
Brazil's Joao De Lucca won the men's 200m freestyle in 1:47:98, Canadian Audrey Lacroix of Canada won the women's 100m butterfly in 59.62, Pavel Sankovich of Belarus won the men's 100m fly in 52.55 and South Africa's Sebastien Rousseau clocked 4:19.71 to win the men's 400m individual medley. ' AFP
