26-year-old bank employee identified as S. was allegedly killed during a theft that took place at her house in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Monday morning.

Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said the police arrested a suspect identified as Afdila Riski at his boarding house later on Monday afternoon. The suspect worked in a photocopy service shop near the victim'€™s house.

The Central Jakarta Police'€™s crime unit head Adj. Sr. Comr. Tatan Dirsan said the victim was allegedly murdered after she found the perpetrator stealing from her house.

'€œThe victim heard a noise in her house when she was sleeping. She then caught AR [Afdila Riski] in action and was murdered,'€ he said on Monday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

He said the victim was found dead without undergarments with her legs tied.
