he City Police will announce the result of an investigation regarding the speed of a car in a recent accident in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, involving a Mitsubishi Outlander on Tuesday.
The examination of the electronic control unit (ECU) will be handed over by the automaker Mitsubishi to the South Jakarta Police, following a three-week examination by the car producer.
'Mitsubishi will come on Tuesday [today] at 10 a.m. to the South Jakarta Police to give their testimony and to provide us with the examination result,' Jakarta Traffic Police law enforcement subdivision head Adj. Comr. Hindarsono said as quoted by kompas.com on Monday.
The ECU is a vehicle tool that records the last speed of a car before an airbag inflates. The examination, which started last month, had been carried out at the Mitsubishi manufacturer in Japan.
During the deadly accident, 23-year-old student identified as Christopher Daniel Sjarief lost control of a Mitsubishi Outlander, killing four people, including a policeman, and causing serious injuries to four others.
